Built to survive scrutiny

About the Sargassum Campaign

Build a united public voice demanding a lawful federal pathway for selective, monitored collection of shoreward-bound Sargassum before it reaches shallow ecosystems, beaches, canals, homes and businesses.

Position

Where we stand

We are not asking the public to choose between wildlife and communities. We are demanding a protected, transparent way to intercept extraordinary shoreward-bound accumulations before living offshore habitat becomes decomposing nearshore pollution.

This site will be read by state and federal officials who know oceans and marine science better than most of our supporters. It is also written for the resident whose canal turned brown and the hotel manager cancelling rooms. Both audiences deserve the same set of facts.
